Kellermeier-Morgan Cricket Match Date Set

This year the Kellermeier-Morgan Cricket Match will be held on Sunday the 4th of December. As in past years it will be a Twenty20 cricket match between two sides representing the Herb Kellermeier and Roger Morgan, both great former members who contributed a great deal to the club.

So please set the 4th of December aside and there will be more details to follow.

Suncorp Redback Game

Due to the inavailability of people to run the day we weren't able to hold the pre-season warm-up game vs. the Suncorp Redbacks. Instead we will hold the match towards the end of our season in either a lead up to the finals or a wrap up to our season.

Training to Start at Dunlop Park this Wednesday

As we have done in the past few years, we will be training at the Dunlop Park Nets. Training will start at 6:30pm on the dot and go for about 2 hours. Please make the effort to attend, if not for your own performance then for the performance of your team.

Special thanks to Western Suburbs Junior Cricket Club who have generously allowed us to train at their facility.

Trial Match vs Suncorp Redbacks Postponed

Unfortunately we have had to postpone the Trail match vs the Suncorp Redbacks. It will instead be held at a date during the regular season yet to be determined.

Reminder Sign-On 2pm 28/9

Reminder that the Sign-on is this Sunday 2pm at the Valleys Cricket Nets.

We will be holding two Sign-on/Pre-season training sessions at Valleys Cricket Nets. The first is on Sunday the 28th of August starting from 2pm and the second the following week, same time and place.

If you are interested in playing cricket this Summer it is essential that you come down for at least one but preferably both of those sessions.

Drinks at the RE this Friday 19/8

Working Bee on Morning of Ekka Show Holiday

Thanks very much to the following people for sacrificing some of their day off to come help prepare the pitch for the following season: Tim Smith, Michael Allison, Alex Briggs, Gordon Dellit, Gary Thomson, Michael Dellit, David Johnston, Greg Thompson and Matthew Thompson.

West Brisbane Cricket Club relies on the efforts of people like those mentioned above in order to keep us playing cricket through the summer and so we all greatly appreciate their efforts.

Season 2011/2012 Sign-On

Trial Match vs Suncorp Redbacks

On the 10th of September we will be having a trial match vs. the Suncorp Redbacks at Bowman park. This is the last weekend prior to the start of the season and a valuable opportunity to get some centre wicket practice.

We have been playing trial matches against the Suncorp Redbacks (a winter Warehouse team) for 6 years now and they are always fun days. There will be more details on the match start and format as the day approaches.
